eternal now, affirmative living

We can feel happy and at home wherever we are and know that we belong wherever we are, when we are at home with ourselves. We learn to know we are at home with ourselves by learning about ourselves, and we can learn about ourselves most easily when we give ourselves a quiet time on a regular basis.

As we establish the habit of a quiet time for and with ourselves, we discover our true selves as centred, responsive, creative human beings. We discover our happiness stems from our connection with our real self rather than any dependence on outer things or circumstances.

We find our lives starting to work with a sense of calm reality.

We find the practice of a quiet time extends itself into the whole of our lives. We become calmer, more observant, more accepting of the circumstances that constitute the human condition and more easily able to change what needs to be changed in ourselves and our circumstances.

Noisy thoughts and noisy situations alike don't throw us off balance, because we know that the true quiet is an inner ease and calm.

We free ourselves from the feeling of being driven and harried.

We start to know with calm conviction that we can lead lives of fulfilment and harmony no matter what our circumstances. We know appropriate action and creative response are available to us right here and right now, always.

We can always be comfortable and at ease when we are at home. When we know our true selves we know we belong, and our home becomes far more than a certain familiar microdot on planet earth: it's wherever we are, whenever we are there, always.
