eternal now, affirmative living

Just do it.

How long do we think about it, talk about it, prioritize and analyze, make decisions about strategies and counter strategies?

We're like untrained swimmers flailing the water, splashing and creating foam, disconnected from effective action.

Now, right now, is the powerful moment, the action moment.

Now is the only moment we actually touch our lives.

Now is bold, simple, direct.

Just do it. Now.

If we don't do it now, we're wise to let go of talking and thinking endlessly about it. Until the right time comes to just do it, it's easy to get trapped in a web of excuses, self-justification and apology for what we are not doing.

When we feel obligated to explain what we are not doing to ourselves and to others, we're operating out of guilt and chronic anxiety. Such explanations dissipate energy needlessly and distance us from meaningful action.

The factual reality of just doing it may require time. We intuitively know if our inaction of the moment is essential to our just doing it or if it's procrastination.

Just doing it may require thinking and talking time. Again, we know within ourselves when time thinking and talking is integral to just doing it and when it's at the expense of effective action.
